Looking for a prospecting idea that is free? Try... The Craft Show TwistMy previous life is as a jewelry designer and I spent EVERY weekend between 9/1 and 12/15 doing festivals, art shows and craft shows. If you can find an inexpensive one, you will find tons of people. Festivals will track families, while craft shows attract primarily women. Now...here is a twist. I KNOW from experience that these are long hours on your feet. Many people who exhibit (especially at craft shows) work only in the fall to take advantage of Christmas buying and so they can earn some extra money for the holidays. So, now instead of paying for a booth I stroll around, say hello, and collect business cards. When January rolls around many are open to learning how they can make money all year long with a home business. They understand the hassle of carrying inventory, paying people to help in their booth, filling out sales tax forms, etc. - what an easy additional income stream you can provide! Just a hint:
