Success or failure in any business is not necessarily determined by your level of education or the depth of your pocketbook. Sometimes it's as simple as.....

Passion

The op-ed section of our newspaper ran a piece about Sen. Paul Wellstone and had this quote from others speaking about him. We did not agree with him on most things, said one after another, but we admired his passion.

Here is what the columnist had to say about that word....passion.

"The problem with passion - the reason for its eclipse - is that passion requires an honest look deep inside, a close inspection of who we really are and what we stand for.

Passion is rare precisely because it requires courage. It takes courage to be the one to stand away from the crowd and speak up. Those who do quickly feel the sting of resentment. For their trouble, they are vilified. Not by everyone, but by enough that it is easier to become cynical. Easier to make fun. To grab a bistro table, sip iced lattes and sneer at the silly passion peddlers who just dont get it.

What we can infer is that America lacks the conviction to win because we lack moral confidence in ourselves. We no longer trust our American instincts. We are in fact our own worst enemy."

Now, the columnist was talking about politics, the potential for war, etc.

But you can take those same words and apply it to your business.

I bet if I asked, you could name those on this forum who are PASSIONATE about their businesses. You can FEEL their passion come through the screen!

And, when you talk to someone with PASSION, you can feel it. It is like an electrical charge that energizes your body. I can not tell you how many prospects have told me, Wow, I can tell how passionate you are about your company.

We also have to guard against losing that PASSION as, we, too, have probably been vilified, laughed at, and not been taken seriously at some point in our careers. But, you can prevail if you keep your PASSION alive!

And the worst enemy of passion is us...our minds...our frustrations getting the best of us. Read again the last paragraph of that article:

What we can infer is that America lacks the conviction to win because we lack moral confidence in ourselves. We no longer trust our American instincts. We are in fact our own worst enemy.

Take out the word America and read that paragraph again. If it pertains to you, look at your why, contact your sponsor, and get that PASSION back in your voice and heart.

If you have PASSION.....

....the right words materialize
....the frustration of nos are minimized
....and your dreams will soon be realized!
