Concept #1:
Residual Income

What is residual income?

Let me give you an example.

When we bought our house in Houston, we needed homeowners insurance. We were referred to Jerry Albrecht, a State Farm agent. Not only did we buy our homeowners policy through him, but over the years, we also moved our automobile insurance to State Farm.

We owned that house in Houston for 14 years before moving to Orlando. Jerry got a check every single year for 14 years when we renewed that policy.

Did you get that?

Jerry got paid 14 times for something he did once!

Do you see how that differs from trading hours for dollars?

Some of you reading this are already in a business, so here's a quick lesson for you.

What are the key lessons in the true story above?

Jerry was referred to us (he did not get our names from a leads list....he was referred to us because he' developed a network)

Once Jerry had us as customers of one product (homeowners insurance), he introduced us to other products he offered (automobile insurance). This enabled him to increase his income per customer.

When we became customers of Jerry's, he asked for referrals to others with similar needs.

Concept #2:
Leveraged Income

The second component of wealth creation, is leveraged income.

If you're not familiar with that term, think of a real estate broker.

Let's assume the broker has 100 agents working at the agency. When an agent sells a property, they earn 3% commission. This commission is generally split with the broker on a 50-50 basis. So....the broker earns a 1.5% commission from the efforts of each real estate agent who makes a sale.

Let's also assume that all of the agents are part time. They only spend 10 hours a week listing and showing properties. Even in the current real estate market, this will probably not make them wealthy.

But....what about the broker? He has 100 agents x 10 hours/each working with him. Do the math! That's 1000 hours a week performing activities that can generate income for the broker.

Since there are only 168 hours in a week, there's absolutely no way he could generate that level of exposure personally.

Although the individual real estate agents might not make much money with only 10 hours a week to spare, do you think the real estate broker has a chance to become wealthy with 1000 hours a week?

That's the power of leveraged income!
